A Logo is the welcome sign of your business, a cover of your book, a first impression. It has positive energy. It is a personification of our vision. If you are thinking of a logo, it only means the time to call yourself a brand has begun. My logo story is a joyous and curious one. The most instant thought was that my logo should represent my origin , coming from the land of coffee , Chikamagluru , I started thinking there should be an element of Chikamagluru in the logo – Beauty , Coffee , Peacocks , Undulating Hills, History and Happiness .

So these inspirational words got me to work leading to our first version , depicting the beautiful queen Shantala from Hoysala Dynasty. It had all the elements that made me happy – We tossed this around for feedback – it is a beautiful idea but as a Logo ..hmmm it would work better as a campaign maybe. Thus her highness the queen left my logo. I soon realized it has to be simple. We went on an internet research about logos , its orgin , logos of famous designers and stories behind them . I wanted a representation of a woman in the logo – I thought it would be a celebration of being a ‘Woman’. All that we woman do for a healthy balance between family and self-goals . The more I began working on it the more I got possessive & biased about it. I got some unbiased views with some external help. Here was a version that I contributed nothing to , the first look at it we liked it a lot , it looked stylish and Starbucksi – it surely looked International – but there you go – it was not me and the Indian connect was missing . So my new meaning for the logo was – It has to represent my brand – Designer Jewelry, Excellence , Unique , Design Academy , Transforming heritage, Light Weight, Souvenir , Restoration and Chikmagalur. After a lot of patience we finally hit the bulls eye – the Peacock , Its iridescence , illuminating and vibrant majesty is what appealed. Pride, Power and Passion all packed together – and what more – it is our National Bird , it represents Chikamaglur and makes me happy . And thus our journey begins here –
